Happy New Year & Good Luck for Exams!

Welcome to the new email design which will be in place until the university sort out it’s email system once and for all.  Waiting is for losers.

Toms predictions for 2010:

- Tories massacre Labour in general election.

- The unwanted ID card will magically come back

- Pakistan & Iran will make Obama lose his Nobel prize.

- People will realize swine flu was a load of bs

- Possibly a revolution?

GO GREEN WEEK kick started lots of environmental campaigning and activity around campus. For 2010: Making that campaigns handbook that I promised many moons ago.

Getting over 4.5 times more students tested for Chlamydia than Man Met was my main goal.

My plan for 2010 is to co-ordinate a vibrant anti-fascist campaign.

Last year: I contributed to the creation of a new, student-friendly feedback policy which includes feedback on exams and a 3-week deadline.

This year: Bang on about crappy lecture theatres until the university starts spending money on students and refurbishing them to a decent standard.

We’ve agreed on a strategic plan with council and now we’ll be aiming to turn that strategy into reality.

Bonus of 2009: Got my arse in the paper.

Last year my greatest achievement was running a well attended and interesting pro-choice week, my two big plans for this year are a massive Reclaim the Night March and a play.

If you still don’t know what the Union’s about...

Turning Student Direct into the Mancunion. Will continue to produce a great paper.
